Background    
     
   

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is looking for a potential candidate for provision of resume-writing services and interview behavior tips and advice for its personnel. The National consultant/trainer (consultant) will be responsible for the support, development and implementation of the lessons and practical exercises for a well-written, professional resume for 47 people.

Start of assignment: 20 November 2017  End of assignment: 20 December 2017 (in 25 working days, five working days in each of 5 regional centre: Qurgon-Teppa, Shaartus, Gharm, Kulyab, Khujand)

     
Tasks and Responsibilities    
     
   

Under the supervision of the Chief, Fund Administration, the National consultant/trainer will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in writing or rewriting CV for 47 people to ensure it is professional, accurate and relevant in order to maximize candidates  chance of achieving interview;
  • Provide guidance on how to market skills and CV;
  • Provide guidance in responding to job advertisements and tailoring  CV for specific job applications;
  • Assist in development of winning CV and LinkedIn profiles that really gets noticed and conveys the most relevant information at first glance;
  • Provide guidance  to optimize the CV for use with job board technology, that means key words and phrases will be included throughout to ensure it is easily picked up by job board search engines and employers;
  • Provide guidance and coaching service towards improving and mastering interview techniques,  in attending and performing well at interviews, be it face to face or telephone interview, with answering competency-based interview questions that are so commonly used in interviews at all levels;
  • Provide clear, practical advice, straightforward feedback and encouragement to become more fluent in ability to answer any question in interviews and feel less nervous and more confident and increase chances of getting job offers or an internal promotion.
     
Necessary Qualifications    
     
   
  • Higher education in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 5 years of training experience in the field of providing services in  CV writing and interview coaching;
  • Profound understanding of standard hiring practices;
  • Excellent writing skills and a broad understanding in drafting resumes for attracting recruiter approaches;
  • Professional knowledge of English, Russian and Tajik Languages;
  • Solid computer skills and good knowledge of reference materials;
  • High degree of attention to details;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Confidence and self-motivation;
  • Time management and organisational skills; team-working skills; creativity.

Deliverables:

  • To provide 2 days training on CV writing and interview performance and 3 days for interviewing the staff and writing the CVs (5 working days in each of 5 regional centre);
  • To interview each staff (47 people) and based on the details of the education and professional background of the staff, to develop individual resume which will lead to interview;
  • Based on the results of the individual interview, to provide coaching and recommendations to each staff separately on technics of highlighting the strengths and improving the weaknesses of each individual. To submit individual to each staff concept paper on recommendations for future interview/s;
  • To submit the Final report to the CFA (not later than 15 December 2017) on the work conducted, indicating the details of actions taken.

Remuneration Package    
     
    The consultant will be remunerated commensurate with consultant’s experience and qualifications in accordance with OSCE established rates.
