“Improving Legal and Human Rights Education” Project
Background information:
The Rule of Law Unit of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (OSCE PCU) is tasked with management and implementation of the projects aimed at further democratization of state-citizen relations in Ukraine. This includes a series of projects in the sphere of administrative law and administrative justice as well as initiatives promoting the liberal development of Ukrainian education.
The objective of the project “Improving Legal and Human Rights Education” is to assist partners in improving legal education and promoting human rights-based approach in school education.
The OSCE PCU supports development of the legal education in Ukraine through capacity development of law professors, review and preparation of studying curricula, expert support to Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
With this regard, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine is looking for experienced national experts with theoretical and practical expertise in at least one of the following fields of law:
- Administrative Law;
- Constitutional Law;
- Criminal Law;
- Criminal Process;
- Civil Law;
- Civil Process;
- International Humanitarian Law;
- International Criminal Law.
Please note that this vacancy notice has been issued for the purpose of experts’ roster enlargement. Future assignments will be discussed with the successful candidates additionally when services are needed. The consultant will be required to work from home with the ability to travel, if necessary.
Tasks and responsibilities:
The experts may be tasked to:
provide lectures and/or trainings for law professors in the above mentioned fields;
develop recommendations and/or educational materials on topics mentioned above;
prepare studying curricula in the above mentioned fields.
Necessary Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of Ukrainian, with exceptional writing skills;
Working knowledge of English would be an asset;
Remuneration Package:
According to the PCU consultancy fees guidelines.
