The OSCE Office in Tajikistan is looking for a highly qualified, motivated and experienced Tajik professional for the position of Programme Assistant within the Economic Affairs Programme.

 

 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Under the direct supervision of Economic Officer, the incumbent performs the following duties:

  • Identifies and researches main issues related to the Economic development including the investment climate in Tajikistan, and contributes to formalized reports on the issue prepared by the Economic Officer;
  • Assists the Economic Officer on project design and partnership framework for the implementation of projects addressing business development issues;
  • Receives, analyzes and checks accuracy of reports submitted by project implementing partners; instructs partners in proper reporting procedures, preparation of work plans and budgets when necessary;
  • Frequent on-the-spot monitoring of project implementation, to obtain evidence of project implementation;
  • Participation in Working Groups on economic development issues; consultation with other international organizations involved in similar activities;
  • Administrates projects of the Economic Affairs Project in compliance with the OSCE rules and regulations;
  • Collects and maintains electronic and printed records on project and on relevant aspects of economic development in Tajikistan;
  • Provides secretarial support in making arrangements and appointments for meetings with project partners and assists with translation/interpretation services;
  • Assists in the preparation of project related document, narrative and financial reports, activities and budget requirements for Unified Budget and Extra-Budget projects;
  • Provides translation/interpretation services;
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

 

 

 

Necessary Qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Secondary education supplemented by secretarial/administrative studies, economic, business and social sciences;
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in administrative functions connected to project management, preferably with an international organizations;
  • Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages and ORACLE computer system (ORACLE, IRMA);
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English, Russian, and Tajik;
  • Ability to compose documents using Microsoft Word, compose and edit documents in Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
  • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.

Remuneration Package

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 751.50 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
