Background

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OSCE Programme Office  in Bishkek (POiB) within the project "Assisting the Kyrgyz Republic in improving electoral system” plans to hire a media specialist to provide expert support to the activity of the information and press unit of the Central Election Commission in the Kyrgyz Republic (CEC).

Services will be provided from 01 August 2017 till 30 November 2017 in the office of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (Bishkek).

 

 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The specialist shall perform the following tasks:

  • Support the organization of the CEC press-service activities, including  PR organization, media coverage and management;
  • Support the CEC press-service officer to enhance and popularize CEC proactive performance in the social networks;
  • Assist in improving  co-operation of the CEC with the electronic and printing mass media, organization and holding of press-conferences, briefings and other activities with the participation of media representatives;
  • Engage in the development of CEC promotional materials in Kyrgyz and Russian languages (announcement, press-releases, post-releases, articles, posts in the social networks, texts for the CEC sites, pictures etc.);
  • Provide the reports in Russian or English on the work implemented to the POiB.

OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and the Central Election Commission will provide the specialist with all information and access to the working place needed for the implementation of services.

 

 

 

Necessary Qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Higher education;
  • At least 3 years work experience in the field of public relations and media;
  • Experience of work in the press-service of state body is an asset;
  • Knowledge of national legislation related to media rights and obligations;
  • Excellent Kyrgyz and Russian writing skills;
  • Excellent skills of writing media and information materials;
  • Excellent skills of translation of information materials from/into Russian and Kyrgyz;
  • Creativity;
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Remuneration Package

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The remuneration fee is 750 EURO per month.
